Mommys Time out

I got a phone call yesterday from my supervisor begging me to go out with the girls this Saturday night for her birthday, and in turn I laughed! They plan on eating at Myabi's my most favorite place to eat IN THE WORLD! Then going out to Cadillac's ( a bar they frequent that I don't know jack about), sounds great and I should jump at the thought of going out with adults and having an actual conversation about ANYTHING should be great, RIGHT?? RIGHT?? Then why am I not jumping at the thought of doing it? I have had 3 people jump at wanting to keep the baby for me, my oldest 3 will be at Daddy's this weekend and Chris will be working a 12hr shift Saturday so that means I can go out have fun come home to an empty house and crawl into my bed and pass out ALL NIGHT!! Then again I ask why am I not jumping at the thought of doing it? Why, Ill tell you why, because for some reason the only things that get me excited these days is getting out of the house and going to Walmart or Bi-lo ( even with the kids), or taking a shower for more than 5 min so I can actually wash my hair and not make it wait for 3 days when I get my 6min shower, or setting down and watching one of my favorite shows WITH OUT a baby latched on or sitting on my knee or tapping me on the shoulder going " MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY" repeatly until my "selective Mommy hearing" stops for me to actually hear him, or my daughter asking me weird out of the blue questions like " Why are we here?" or " The baby drinks from your boob, huh Mommy?" These are the few things that I get excited about, not leaving my 4wk old with someone else to take care of other than his father, or getting so drunk there is no telling how I get home... So yes go ahead and tell me Im the saddest 25yr old there is, I know I know, but on the other hand give me one of my Dads backyard cookouts on Sunday with the TV blaring the race or big football game and my kids are running around playing ball or riding their motercycle's and the baby is being passed around to every cheek pincher in the county and I can kick back in my worst looking pair of jeans and tennis shoes and an old nascar t-shirt with my ball cap, and hold a nice pina colado in my hand and watch my family and friends having the time of their lifes picking on the cousins new "dorkfriend" I mean boyfriend , Now I can get excited over that.
